The Nightmare Cooperative App Reviews

Great game, deep gameplay

Great game, feels like a roguelike triple town, really hard at first but very intersting when you start to grasp all the mecanics...nice art style too, the music fits well with the mood. If only all ios/touch games were this good :)

Really nice game!

Really clever game. Its a really nice blend between 868-hack and Threes. Works really well. Chanllenging. Keep up the good work!

Love it

Its so addicting, like threes but an rpg

Not quite there

This seems like a great idea on paper, but is not done well. The graphics are cool, the gameplay is unique, but thats as far as it goes. There is no depth to the characters, and its brutally hard to move with these unresponsive controls. Then the game crashed. So cant recommend.

The Nightmare Cooperative

I absolutely love this puzzle game! It would be nice if the buttons were a higher resolution, it would look way better!

Puzzle Adventure

Beat the game in 30min, good thing the levels are new everytime you play the game or I would be bored. Will now be competing for highscores. you need to think of this game as a puzzle game; not a combat game where you Leeroy Jenkins into monsters. Beautiful artwork, calming music, worth more then 1.19CAD. I found the difficulty level to be, Medium.

3/5

Beautiful artwork, but primitive gameplay and VERY lack of content. Need more dungeons, monsters, items etc

Fun game with amazing atmosphere

Im usually not into turn-based games, but this one is pretty unique. Its very fun and has a nice charm to it, especially with the amazing art style and music. The gameplay is challenging at first, but gets easier the more you play. It lets you slowly figure out how things work and you learn while you play it.

Stylish art and thoughtful, rewarding gameplay!

Enjoyed this game on Steam and very glad to have the iOS version.

Could be fun

Could be fun but the controls are a pain- Im constantly pausing the game, I think the map should be further down and move the character info to the top. Also, when you click on a character to see a description- it doesnt seem to work consistently.

Game just crashes every time I try to start it on my iphone 5

Funny how the app says optimized for iphone 5...

Very Fun!!!

A challenge of a game but very fun to play.

Excellent rogue-ish puzzle game

Clever gameplay. Excellent music and art style. Plays just as great as the PC version.

Potential

Everything about the idea of the game is great except that when you die, you have to start from the very beginning. I wish it saved your progress. I dont know what to do with the gold I have collected. I also wish that the little speech bubbles that tell you what everything is would go away after the first few levels.

Great Roguelike RPG

I had never really been into Roguelike games until Hoplite, but this is a great addition to the genre. I love the art style and feel of the game, and the RPG elements, humor, and strategy that slowly reveal themselves as you replay the game just add to its appeal.

Fun but glitchy

The game is fun, beautiful, and addicting. I often find myself saying, "One more game." However, the interface is glitchy. Tapping on in-game objects is supposed to cause a "tool-tip" with informative text to pop up; however, the game will often pause for a couple of seconds before displaying the text. Additionally, sometimes random tooltips will pop up for no reason, and I can only dismiss them by summoning a new tooltip. Glitches aside, this is a great strategy game and is worth the cost. I recommend it!

Addictive, simple, gorgeous, and brilliant

Sure, Ive played my fair share of rogue-likes, RPGs, and turn-based strategy games, but Ive never played anything like The Nightmare Cooperative. I was initially lured in by the gorgeous visuals, but quickly got addicted the the simple and intuitive gameplay, not to mention the endless replayability. One of the best on iOS, hands down.

"Just one more..."

One of my favorite mobile games.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.x

The aesthetics are stark yet elegant. The mechanics are austere yet robust. This one fits nicely between the sentences and paragraphs of ones life. The 09/14/2014 update was greatly appreciated. Many thanks. By the way, my previously updated review for this app was not displayed on the App Store. Figured the devs might want to take that up with Apple.

Great style, OK gameplay

This game looks and sounds beautiful (though some of the text is a little small on my iPhone). The gameplay was pretty fun, but I never felt in control. With up to four characters at your command, the playing field is often a chaotic mess. I guess that’s the point. Luck seems a big part of the game, it’s not all about skill. That’s fun for a while, but I want to feel like I’m learning the game and getting better.
